Many beginners confuse the Day Master with the Chinese zodiac animal of the year pillar, or with the "zodiac sign" of the hour. The Day Master is specifically the stem of the day pillar, not the year animal. If a reading talks about the element of "you," it is almost always referring to the Day Master.
